It’s time to promote summer reading with your local public library!

As school libraries are winding down for the end of the year, public libraries are busy preparing summer reading programs. The theme this year is “On Your Mark, Get Set…Read!”

On Your Mark Get Set Read

Save time in your last few weeks of classes to invite your public library in to talk about summer activities with your students. Skype with a public librarian or take a field trip to the public library. If that’s not workable in your schedule, ask them to send you materials to present and hand out for students and parents. Summer reading loss is an issue for students of all ages.
