Why didn’t I think of that? Engaging teens in Huron

Huron Public Library participated in two programs in October which were great ways to engage youth and teens!

Zombie Walk

The Lion and Lioness Clubs have invited area children and youth zombies to amble around the Great Scarecrow Festival. Everyone meets in the library to begin the trek. Following the walk, elementary children and younger are invited to view the scarecrows and receive a treat from the library. Teens are invited to a Zombie Buffet and a scary PG-13 movie.

Murder at the Ball

Teens are invited to “Murder at the Walgrave Astoria Costume Ball.” Youth dress in costume, dine and mingle while gathering clues to solve a mystery. Teens can stop by the library to be assigned a character.
