SD State Library launches new digital state publications site

The SD State Library introduces a new digital repository site featuring historical and current state publications, vertical files, and photos of SD libraries

The SD State Agency Historical Publications Collection is a special collection of historical state agency publications. The SD State Library has state publications that date back to territorial days. In order to preserve these materials and make them easier for the general public to access and study, digitized copies are made available in this collection.

This collection houses current documents and other publications created and released for general distribution by South Dakota State Agencies. Use the search box to search for agency or title of the publication.

The South Dakota State Library maintains a vertical file of newspaper articles. These articles reflect items determined to be of local interest and may not be available elsewhere.

This photographic collection illustrates each library's unique history and showcases different attributes. South Dakota has a number of Carnegie Libraries that are still operating.
